The Rest and Restore Protocol™ (RRP):
Support rest, restoration and physiological balance

The Rest and Restore Protocol™ is an innovative, clinical-grade listening therapy rooted in behavioral neuroscience. It uses homeostatic entrainment to realign internal physiological rhythms, helping the nervous system shift away from chronic stress and fatigue toward sustainable balance and recovery. It invites deep relaxation and an acoustic stimulation of the bodily organs below the diaphragm.

It can work with SSP or alone to promote healing and regulation whilst supporting sleep, digestion, relaxation and supporting the  biological cycles that keep us healthy.

How does the RRP work?

RRP works by synchronising the bodies own psychological rhythms (such as heart rate, circadian rhythm, body temperature) whilst enhancing vagal tone. It maybe useful in helping those with a trauma history, sleep disturbances, gut issues, chronic health problems/fatigue and anxiety and depression. It may also be helpful in functional disorders such as chronic pain, fibromyalgia and irritable bowel syndrome.

The dynamic tempo changes within the listening system are designed to engage your ANS and related visceral organs. This can have a profound effect on behavioural state and emotional well being. It promotes deep relaxation and recovery whilst guiding the ANS into immobilisation without fear; restoring energy and health whilst alleviating feelings of dissassociation and promoting a sense of safety and connection.   By encourgaing emotional consistancy, it engages the nervous system’s renewed ability to respond without becoming overwhelmed by internal or external stressors.

Offering RRP as an individual specialised package

Each individual I work with gets a  highly individual package to support deep nervous system regulation and recovery.  Our nervous systems are individual and are ever-changing.

  • Led by your body:  Your plan will be as individual as you. Looking at your background and what is happening in your life at present.  I listen closely to your system's cues, continually adjusting the approach so you always feel completely safe to  continue.

  • Tuned to your comfort: Together, we find what brings your Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) calm.  Starting the Rest and Restore Protocol (RRP), we can integrate somatic and nervous system practices which will help to further restore balance to your system.

  • Co-creating your plan: As you listen, you will be able to see how you own ANS works with the structured sound patterns that steady your heart rate and sleep cycles.  We will  will work togther with monthly meet ups and regular checkins to ensure your emotional and physical wellbeing is paramount.

With the RRP Package we will work with the Autonomic Nervous System (ANS), maybe using this alongside SSP to encourage relaxation, restore balance, and support the body’s natural healing processes.

FAQ

1. What is the Rest and Restore Protocol (RRP)?

RRP is a sound-based therapeutic system designed to help regulate the nervous system and support deep relaxation, recovery, and emotional balance.

2. How does RRP work?

It uses dynamic audio patterns that interact with the Autonomic Nervous System, helping to synchronise body rhythms such as heart rate, breathing, and circadian cycles.

3. What is RRP used for?

RRP is commonly used to support sleep difficulties, chronic stress, trauma recovery, anxiety, depression, digestive issues, and other stress-related or functional conditions.

4. Can RRP be combined with SSP?

Yes. RRP can be used on its own or in combination with the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP), for a comprehensive nervous system support approach. However it is better to begin with one protocol so that any side effects are noted.

5. What benefits may RRP provide?

RRP may support deeper relaxation, improved sleep quality, reduced stress responses, enhanced vagal tone, and a greater sense of safety and internal regulation.
